Texture is really important to me, and it is the one factor that underlies everything I make. This little dish was made using the pinching method, which involves squeezing and pinching a ball of clay between the thumb and forefinger into the desired shape. It is a simple, slow and methodical process that allows the mind to wander. The finger prints remain in the clay to create a dimpled surface for the glaze to be shown at it's best and to echo the simplicity of the form.

A handmade ceramic trinket dish, perfect for storing loose change, earrings, keys or pocket fluff. With food safe glaze, it can also be used as a dipping dish or for midnight snacks.
