The surface texture is inspired by fish scales. Modelling tools are used to carve into the surface which gives a very tactile finish. This bowl is coiled using Vulcan black clay and is part glazed in a grey/pink tinged glaze and white interior.

Small ceramic bowl.
Small coiled bowl in Vulcan black stoneware clay, hand carved in a fishscale design. Part glazed in a grey/pink tinged glaze and white interior.
It has a Bird Box Pottery makers mark on the bottom.
