I was inspired by a basket of grape hyacinths - Muscari Latifolium. Amazingly two tone flower heads.

Full description

A hand knitted pale green flower bobble tea cosie. From the bottom up, the body of the tea cosie is knitted using a pale green yarn, and starts with a twisted edge giving a scallop look to the hem, there are a few rows of waffle stitch and then there is a row of bobbles; 3 forest green depicting hyacinth leaves, 2 bobbles knitted in deep purple and topped with one bobble in light lilac coloured yarn resembling grape hyacinth flowers. The main body is knitted in a waffle stitch using pale green yarn. It is a double thick stitch giving a good insulation to your tea pot. This stitch ensures a good fit around the pot, yet has enough ease for a swift removal when a 'top - up' is required. The tea pot handle peeps through the side opening so it dosnt get too hot to handle. The top of the cosie is knitted in smooth stocking stitch, cast off with a knitted picot edging. It is tied together with pale green, deep purple and light lilac hand made cords, tied in a bow.

A perfect house warming gift, or for yourself...... just because it looks pretty on the kitchen work top.

Suitable for a standard 4 - 6 cup tea pot.
