Full description

Unique wheel thrown pottery mug that has been hand carved. To give it this beautiful tactile texture.

The mug is thrown on a pottery wheel with stoneware clay. I use stoneware as it is a more resilient high fired clay which makes it perfect for functional pottery.

If you zoom in to the image you will see the glazes melting and running through the carvings.

The mug stands approximately 8cm high and holds approximately 320ml

The mug is dishwasher safe but not recommended.

I do no recommend using in the microwave.

All my glazes are food safe.

The mug is dried slowly after the handle has been attached. It is then fired in the kiln to over 1000c Once it has cooled it is glazed and fired again to over 1200c. The whole process can take 2-4 weeks.
