Full description
Beachcomber coastal tote bag. A lovely tote bag made from blue fabric with an appliqué panel cut from delightful beachcomber print fabric. The main fabric is blue with streaks of white running through the weave. The panel features a starfish, shell, sea urchins, rope and the word “Mariner” in coastal shades of beige, blue and cream. I’ve edged the panel with a machine-embroidered decorative border in beige and I’ve then frayed the edges of the panel to give a lovely distressed fringed effect. Overlapping the bottom corner of the panel, I’ve added a circle of blue print fabric with a blue and white shell in the centre. I’ve also added two wooden buttons with the words “Handmade with love” and two tiny hearts inscribed on them. The bag is lined with white fabric with nautical blue stripes.
This unusual tote bag really captures the essence of beachcombing and the coast. It's a versatile bag and would make a lovely gift, particularly for someone who loves the beach.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (36cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are approx. 24 inches (60cm) from end to end, and are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or carried as a handbag.
