Full description

This is Bee 71 Rufescent Sharp-tail Bee or Coelioxys rufescens and I adore this beautiful matchbox holder, isn’t it divine? It is approximately 2” long and the wood and paper matchbox slips inside the decorative metal antique holder. The bee has lots of gold thread which makes it very decorative. The bee is made of wool, vintage thread and kamibari gold and silk embroidery thread.

I do have other bees left from the four exhibitions. Much of these have been shared via the FIFTY BEES Instagram page.

Please do get in touch if you see one that you’d like to give a home to.
