A3 (29.7cm x 42 cm) screen-print entitled 'Sheffield City View No.9' printed in a dark warm grey.
The print started out as a linocut, and then I transferred the image to a silk-screen to complete the hand-printed edition.
My ninth view of the city of Sheffield, this is a view look across a suburban area, looking from Chesterfield Road to Nether Edge.
It is a fairly simple scene, with rooftops, windows, chimneys, clouds and trees, perhaps less detailed than some of my landscape images, but there was something about this suburban view, with the shadows over the roofs, and puzzle of windows and chimneys that really appealed to me.
Dark warm grey System 3 ink on off-white 220gsm acid-free paper. From an edition of 70, hand-signed, titled and numbered.
The print image measures H27xW18cm.
The paper measures H29.7xW42cm.
Printed by myself at Hunk Print, Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints.
All prints will be posted securely in a card tube and sent by first-class post (UK) or Airmail (rest of the world).
