After years of not really wearing or making earrings because they were covered by my shoulder length hair, lack of haircuts due to lockdowns and other restrictions means I now have long hair which is invariably scraped back into a scrunchie. Staring at my own head and shoulders on endless video call meetings and chats means I've become obsessed with the extravagant, colourful and characterful earrings I can now wear, and these and my other earrings in the collection are the result.
These earrings were inspired by the tiny Swarovski crystals - they're a discontinued colour and I don't have enough of them for a larger piece, so I designed these earring around them using a warm, summery colour scheme. I've kept them long and not too wide so they stay delicate whilst still being pretty eye catching!

Full description
A pair of pretty long shoulder dusting fringe earrings in a graduated ombre pattern, with tiny salmon opal Swarovski crystals at the tips.
These earrings are hand stitched using brick stitch and fringing beadweaving techniques to form a delicate fringe below a triangular top. Each precision Japanese made Miyuki Delica bead is individually picked up using a fine needle and specialist thread and either linked together and woven into a fabric like sheet to form the triangular top section (brick stitch) or picked up in long rows to make the long fringe. I've added 3mm Swarovski bicones to the ends of the fringe to give a subtle sparkle. Beadweaving is slow and painstaking work but the finished result is full of movement and life.
These earrings hang from a sterling silver ear wire, and I'll add a silcone stopper for safety as these are quite light and will move a lot in wear! They are 1.8 cm (.7") wide and 11cm (4.3") long (measured from the top of the ear-wire). They will arrive packaged in an hand made envelope, ready for you to give as a gift or enjoy yourself.
