Full description
This unique hand crafted collectors rollerball pen has real razor clam seashells held within the deep green resin. These shells are from the beach at the Sands of Wright, on the isthmus between South Ronaldsay and Hoxa head. The lovely green colour is inspired by the seaweed that grows in the rock pools on the beach, and the glass-like transparency of the colour allows light to shine through the pen, illuminating the real seashells within the pen. The body is shaped to resemble that of a squid (but without the tentacles!), having a tapered tip section which flares to match the diameter of the cap thread. The body has a pronounced radius at the front and tapers away to the narrow, rounded end. The cap has a gentle taper for about half its length and a rounded end. The triple-lead thread allows the cap to be removed quickly and easily. The tip section is about 12mm diameter and makes this amazing pen very easy to write with. The pen is 154mm long with the cap attached. With the cap removed for writing it is 127mm long, about 18mm at its’ widest and weighs 31g. The pen uses a standard Parker refill.
The price includes post and packing.
