Autumn leaves are an endless source of inspiration, and I love the shapes of oak leaves, so I combined the two in this pretty quilt. The oak tree in many ways is a symbol of the British countryside, and supports dozens of different animals and insects in its branches, leaves and bark.

Full description
A cosy quilt with an autumnal theme and colourscheme, created from 20 blocks (4 x 5) of the pattern known as Roman Stripes or Amish Stripes.
Machine-pieced strips of print fabrics in browns, ochres, and dusky greens and blues create one triangular half of each patch, with a triangle of tan print completing the square. Each block is hand quilted with two oakleaf motifs using big-stitch quilting in red-brown coton a broder.
The backing is a pretty brown leaf print, and an little oakleaf-print fabric creates the binding. A hidden casing at the top back will hold your own batten/hanging rod – but this quilt would also make a lovely lap quilt for tucking under on those cold winter evenings, too!
The quilt will be sent to you cushioned with reusable bubble-wrap, and packed into a cardboard box (recycled when possible). Hanging pole and fixings are not included.
