This is one of my favourite paintings. I have happy memories of my grandparents 2 up 2 down cottage by the river in Coltishall. It had an outside loo and the middle cottage of the 3 had the water pump. I used to stay there as a child and it was idyllic. I have an impression of wallpaper in the bedrooms and the aging, distressed feel is what I have tried hard to achieve. It's the whole design process that I have enjoyed so much as well and adding an image from my book of Victorian stencils which seems to be in keeping.

Full description
Yellow tulip shabby chic painting features 2 groups of yellow tulip heads and 2 rows of Victorian stencil images. The background is a mottled and streaky combination of cream, grey, white and sepia inspired by old, faded wallpaper. I painted this in my Norfolk studio, it is mounted, elegantly framed in lime-washed wood and ready for you to hang. The overall measurements are59cm x 46cm and the internal image is 40cm x 28cm. I call this one 'Shabby Chic Tulips I'. This painting is one of my favourite pieces, I hope you can give it a good home.
