Hello and welcome to HalfMoon designs.
Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you enjoy my original paintings and have fun browsing the collections, floral, lingerie and fashion. My artwork is also printed on a selection of mugs and magnetic notepads.
Please don't hesitate to contact me should you need anything and if you find a favourite image, I would love you to click on it.

All my paintings start from a sketch so when my husband brought me these lovely tulips, I had to draw them. I love to be able to capture the evolution of the flowers as they open up. I liked designing the asymmetrical group and placing them in a vase. It always creates a different dynamic, as you can give them a domestic environment. I hope you might have a suitable domestic environment for this painting.

Full description

White and pink tulips are quite voluptuous in this glass vase, ranging from only just opening to full blooms so heavy that their stems are bending over. The glass vase sits on a wooden surface, reflecting some of the background tones which are in soft blues and sepia to contrast with the tulips. I painted this in my Norfolk studio, it measures 40cm square and is ready for you to hang. The background continues around the edge. This painting would bring flowers into your home and last a lot longer than real tulips, or could it be a glass anniversary gift? I call this one 'Tulips in Glass Vase I'.
