I couldn't resist including this interesting cream churn I discovered in the back of my grandad's shed. All the summery things you can think of in a Norfolk summer are here. The roses are in full bloom, you can almost smell the sweet peas and the strawberries are ready to eat!
I enjoy the design process involved in a still life composition and although the colours are bright and crisp they all mesh together, have you got a wall waiting for a burst of summer?

Full description
An original watercolour painting featuring 3 roses in pink and yellow and one bud. There are 3 bunches of sweet peas in complimentary pastel shades and all are bursting from a tin cream churn. A mottled pink cloth lies in the foreground scattered with ripe strawberries. The background is a pale and watery reflection of the included colours. I created this still life painting in my Norfolk studio. It is mounted and elegantly framed in lime-washed wood and ready for you to hang. The total measurements are 57cm x 47cm and the internal image is 40cm x 29cm.
I called this one 'Strawberries and Cream' of course. As the flower container is Tin, the painting could be a 'Tin Wedding Anniversary' gift. That is for 10 years!
