I wanted to create something intensley feminine in this 'Lingerie Collection'. It has given me the opportunity to combine my background in fashion and textiles with my love of painting. I have really enjoyed experimenting with fabric and effect and I love the way the layering of the ruffled ribbon works to create shape and movement. Glamorous, cream sequins add a touch of sparkle as well. I like adding an extra dimension to the painting, however, the paper is so thick I have to make a hole with a normal needle so that he much finer beading will go through. It takes ages but I think the result is worth it.

Full description
An original bra and knickers painting in cream and sepia ink detail featuring hand stitched multi layers of glamorous, ruffled cream satin ribbon which also form the bra straps. The wavy pattern on the bra and the central panel of the knickers is in ink and edged with cream iridescent sequins. The background has pale blue stripes. The artwork is from my sexy 'Lingerie Collection' created at my Norfolk studio. I love the delicacy and pretty colours which work beautifully in a bedroom. The painting is double mounted and framed in a luxurious gilt frame, ready to hang. The overall measurement is 61cm x 50cm. The internal image is 44cm x 44cm. This collection has such personality I had to give them names. I called this one 'Cream Ruffle I'
