Item details

An original watercolor corset painting in yellow and black featuring hand stitched black sequins, ribbon and dangling drop shape beads with black ink detail and sexy suspenders. The background is a pale grey stripe. The art-work is from my 'Lingerie Collection' created at my Norfolk studio. It's glamorous and feminine and I love they way the beads jiggle when you move the painting. There are also black sequins dotting the delicate ink-work on the bodice and across the bust. The colour contrast is fresh and would be perfect in a bedroom.The painting is double mounted in a heavy lime-washed wooden frame and is ready to hang.
The overall size is 60.5cm x 53cm 4cm. The internal image is 47cm x 38cm.
This collection has such personality I had to give them names. I have called this painting 'Sherbet Lemon II'

I wanted to create something intensely feminine with this 'Lingerie Collection'. It has given me the opportunity to combine my background in fashion and textiles with my love of painting. I found hand stitching beads and ribbon added an extra twist. These beads really do move! However the watercolour paper is so thick I have to make holes with a a normal needle first so that the much finer beading needle will go through. It is incredibly time consuming but I think the results are quite effective. The perfect corset lovers gift.
