This is a hand crafted leafy style fire poker that i handmade in my blacksmiths forge. i got the inspiration from nature and the way leaves flow and wrap around each other. the handle hand leaf flow seamlessly together.

Full description
This is a hand crafted leafy style fire poker that I have made in my blacksmiths forge in Scotland.
it starts with just a plain length of round steel and the first heat in the dorge is used to create the leaf on the end of the bar. I do this at the anvil free hand with a hand hammer so each leaf comes out looking unique from one another.
then I thin down the stem of the leaf and wrap it around into a loop shape and use the extra length to wrap around the fire poker organically like a vine in nature would wrap round trees.
then finally I forge a point on the other end of the bar to help moving wood around in the fire.
the poker is finished in a clearcoat lacquer and is around 52 centimeters long from the top of the handle to the point on the other end.
