Item details

Handwoven scarf made with art yarn that I spun myself using fleece from our flock of North country mule sheep.

I started by selecting and washing raw fleece from our sheep. I then sorted and dyed the fleece before carding it along with Merino, Alpaca and cotton fibres.
I then spun the fleece and plied it with a brown chenille yarn and a sparkly pink thread.

Finally I set about weaving using a pink acrylic yarn for the warp and my art yarn for the weft. I added even more texture by including loops in the weave.

A beautiful one of a kind design, bursting with colour and texture, it has an almost tweedy look to it. It's finished with a cute 'Wonderful Ewe' wooden button.

Would make a great gift or just treat yourself.
