Sterling silver nesting bird pendant on a string of matte hematite and African turquoise beads.
I have carved the bird and sat it in a wire wrapped nest, it has a spiral detail to the base.
I have hung it from a string of small matte hematite beads, and have added occasional groups of silver hematite and African turquoise beads . The colours in the blue beads remind me of bird eggs.
The silver has been oxidised in the recesses to enhance the detail, the necklace closes with a silver lobster clasp and chain, which allows the necklace to be worn between 17 1/2 and just under 18”
