A sterling silver mount has been used to join this blue-green piece of well worn seaglass, collected off the beach on 9th Dec 20, to a 20 inch Sterling silver chain. The piece of glass is just bigger than a 50p piece, see photos. It is an unusually brightly coloured piece of seaglass to find along the beach I frequent.

Glass has to enter the sea to create seaglass either by mishap e.g. erosion of cliffs or by intent e.g. refuse being left on beach. Seaglass is formed by the action of the sea, sand and stones on a piece of glass as it rolls along the seabed. This, together with the original make up of the glass and the length of time the glass has been in the sea, creates the smoothness and frosting of the seaglass and the unique markings within the glass.

This will be sent out in a small gift box using 1st class large letter post.

This was such an amazing piece of glass, I just had to make up a pendant to show it off. As with lots of coloured glass, the colour changes slightly according to the light. The 6th photo shows it with sunlight coming through, showing the textures of the glass. The final photo shows the treasures collected on the same morning, 9th Dec, with the piece of glass used with a blue circle around it. An amazing pendant.
