I love the romance of medieval hilltop towns. Streets winding narrow and cobbled up to an ancient church or wellspring. The houses windows looking out across the same green valley that they have for centuries.

Full description
A print of a medieval mountain top town on handmade hemp paper.
This print is completely original and handmade using traditional linocut techniques. The design is hand drawn onto lino before being carved to create a unique linocut block. Each block is then printed by hand burnishing with archival inks onto fine paper.
The nature of lino as a medium means that the final results are unique to each finished print. Differences in the amount of ink, the pressure of the hand-burnishing technique I use and even the grain of the paper can change each work subtly. This leaves a unique connection between the final work and the artist.
All prints are 21cm x 29.7cm. They are delivered unframed but covered in protective packaging and backed by strong card.
