Recent changes to EU law make it impossible for me to sell to member countries. Once there is a solution to this I will restore shipping to the EU.
All the pieces in the Rule 30 Collection are knitted on a vintage knitting machine which I've adapted to link to my laptop. This means I can work with patterns that don't have any repeats, like this one. It's generated using an algorithm called a one dimensional cellular automaton. There are many rules in this algorithm and the 30th gives particularly interesting patterns.
I've been fascinated by the intersection of textile crafts and mathematics for many years and hacking my knitting machine has given me the ideal way to express the beauty of the patterns that arise in this area.

Full description
A flat version of the standard Rule 30 pencil case in red and black. It has the same has a sturdy zip and lining and is still ideal for carrying writing and drawing tools, or knitting and sewing essentials. (Contents not supplied, obviously!) The outer fabric is pure Shetland-style wool from one of Scotland's oldest mills.The lining is polyester cotton and the zip is black with gold coloured metal. The dimesions of the case are approximately 8cm by 20.5cm.
I knit the outer fabric in my studio in Edinburgh and the bags are constructed for me by a local social enterprise.
