Full description
This handmade ceramic coffee dripper and 'hug' mug were thrown on my potter's wheel. The coffee dripper has a pulled handle and three small holes which were carved once leather hard. The dripper has a small saucer to be used to catch drips once the coffee has filtered. It can also be used as a little plate for a coffee time snack.
The 'hug' mug is beautifully shaped to fit snuggly into the palm with the fingers wrapped around it.
This set is a perfect gift for a coffee lover; someone who enjoys making their own coffee and for whom this is a mindful experience.
The pieces are glazed in a deep rich blue echoing the hues of the Cornish coast. The inside is finished in a gloss white. Where the two glazes meet a lovely flowing blend of glaze appears.
Approximate sizes -
Coffee dripper - 9.5cm base diameter x 10cm tall. Rim diameter 13cm
Saucer - 11cm diameter
'Hug' mug - 7cm base diameter x 9cm tall. Rim diameter 9am.
Made from stoneware clay and high fired; food safe. The pieces prefer to be washed by hand in warm soapy water.
