I love pattern and pops of vibrant colour. Cacti are often fun, weirdly shaped little things, so I wanted to make a pot to reflect that.

Each 'prickle' was applied to the pot individually by hand using decorative slip and a slip trailer. It's slow, meditative work that I can lose myself in.

Full description

This is a dinky Prickle pot thrown on the wheel using toasted clay. Perfect for a tiny cacti or air plant.

This pot has a pale blue glaze on the inside. The outside has been decorated with 'prickles' using decorative apple green slip. I've then covered it all in a lime green/acid yellow stoneware glaze.

The Prickle pot has been fired at a high temperature to ensure it's hygienic and suitable for holding a bit of water in.

Things to note:

- Signed 'Gane' on the base

- Best to hand wash

- Size approx: 7cm W x 5cm H (middle is wider)

Designed by Sarah Gane in Bournemouth
