The inspiration fo this set is the beads themselves, the unusual hexegonal multi faceted aspect of the beads lent itself to a multi dimentional pattenr to the links between them. I wanted to create someting that is quirky, but also inviting to the eye. The textured metal makes this piece unique in itself as the texturing will create little kinks on some links whilst none on the others.
The golden colour of the glass bead attracks the light and reflects it back; whilst the filigree bead almost envelops the light and keeps it within itself.
For me this is a dichotomy between light and dark; shine and absorbtion, reflection and retraction.
This set is not only jewellery; it is also wearable art, the feel of autumn encapsulated into one item.
