It is actually quite difficult to get a photo of the High Street without it being full of parked cars so this was not only a lovely evening, fabulous light but also virtually traffic free, so I snapped away and took the images back to my studio to paint this picture.
The sun drenched Sweetings picture was a gift as the sun was so bright against all that white painted wood. The shadows make the picture.

Full description

The Clock Tower is an iconic building in Burnham, unmistakable to any inhabitant and built in memory of Philanthropist and oyster merchant Mr Laban Sweeting after his death in 1876. So much money was raised in so short a time that instead of just installing a clock, they were able to build an entire clock tower that was completed in 1877. Near by in Shore Road is Sweetings, his place of business. It’s been a private residence for some years now but I believe Sweetings of London may be owned by a distant relative…don’t quote me!

Please state which photo you would like on your card.

Please select from the CHOOSE OPTIONS drop down box above whether a card or a print is required. For your convenience I offer standard frame and mount sizes (which may involve some small, careful cropping by me). Cards aren't ideal for framing. There is an extra cost for larger prints which is shown next to the size option.

This is an original watercolour painted by me. Prints are on Epson Heavyweight Matt using genuine Epson inks. Cards are printed on gloss paper. It will be sealed in a cello bag and sent out using second class post and recycled or recyclable packaging.
