Hello and welcome to my shop.
I've always loved making things and worked as a Graphic Designer for over twenty years. Nowadays I experiment with fabric, paints, embroidery, beads and collage. I particularly enjoy combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, unique mixed media pieces.

In addition to my Thimbelina 'treasure boxes' I want to experiment with different themed mixed media pieces. This is the my first one, and since I love flowers of all shapes and sizes I decided to create this little flower box.

This little mixed media artwork would make a quirky gift for a friend or add a pop of colour to a shelf or windowsill.
The artwork is housed in a wooden vintage thimble rack which has been painted with black acrylic paint. The flowers and foliage have been created using inks, acrylics and paper collage.
I've added flower shaped metal buttons and bead caps to some of the compartments and used crackle glass, drawbench and Czech fire-polished beads to add a bit of sparkle.
Overall size is approx. 14cm wide x 22.5cm high x 2.5cm deep.
The rack is free-standing and has a metal hanging loop.
Artwork will be shipped via Hermes.
