I visited Barcelona in February 2020 and was inpired by the beautiful mosaics in the Gaudi gardens and by the stained glass in the Sagrada Familia. All the seaglass in this series is from the shores of Barcelona; hand picked by me and painted to resemble the stained glass.
The shards are no doubt from the ships washed by the sea for months; to ultimately make it out on the shores.
This is a recyled piece of glass; turned into an object of art.
