Having injured my shoulder, felting is a limited activity at the moment but I have plenty of other fibres to play with.

This lovely vase has been made using a sheet of handmade silk paper, cut into a strip and then formed into a spiral cylinder to fit around a glass bottle insert. Pretty pink, green and gold ribbon trim has been added, spiralling up the vase. At the top of the vase, a small fan shaped decoration, made from matching silk paper with small gold coloured beads has been added as an accent. The top of the vase has been left in an asymmetrical shape. The vase is supplied with a small glass bottle insert allowing use with cut flowers in water.
The silk paper has been made using a multicoloured blend, predominantly pink and green, of recycled sari silk fibres.
The vase is approximately 6cm in diameter and stands 23cm tall.
The felt flowers featured in the photographs are sold separately in my shop.
Please note: although this has been designed for use with cut flowers, they must be contained within the glass bottle insert. The outer cover is not waterproof.
