An original handprinted limited edition Collagraph print.
Printed using lightfast oil based inks, inked, wiped and pulled through an etching press by hand, by me.
Small edition of 20 only, this print as pictured is no 17 of the edition.
Actual image measures 288mm x 495mm.
Mounted size measures 440mm x 650mm.

I create my Collagraph prints using off cuts of mountboard and draw onto this with a scalpel to either remove sections of paper or incise lines on the plate, sometimes adding collaged items and texture medium in order to create the image.
The prints are all hand inked, wiped and burnished before pulling them through an etching press onto dampened Fabriano print paper. This process means each print in the edition will be slightly different.
Printed onto Fabriano Rosapina, slightly off white acid free printing paper, 285gsm.
Mounted into archival mount board, soft off white colour with subtle texture.
Wrapped in cellophane for protection.

The edge land and scrubland surrounding our cities and towns have become small havens for many of our native bees, butterflies, insects and birds. These pockets of land populated with plants that some people would call weeds; buddleja, bind weed, nettles, dandelions, teasels, clover, thistles to name a few, are providing food and often habitat for many species. As our green spaces diminish, the Edge Lands and scrubland surrounding urban areas will have more and more significance for wildlife.

The print will be posted flat and mounted ready for framing. As it will be a large parcel it will need to be sent by secure mail and require a signature on receipt.
