Drinking copious cups of tea and pottering around in the garden are two of my favourite occupations, so when I took up embroidery again last year it seemed a natural first project. The flowers were all (loosely) based around those in the garden, but as it was my first attempt some are more recognisable than others! Also, I am notoriously bad at leaving cups of tea around the house and letting them go lukewarm. In my book tea has to be piping hot or not worth drinking, so a tea cosy is an essential!

Full description
SAMPLE. A natural linen tea cosy with a cream floral cotton lining and co-ordinating tag on the top. The front has hand-embroidered flower details with hand-stitched wording saying 'How does your garden grow ...' The cosy is lined with polyester wadding to keep your tea nice and warm.
This was one of my first projects when I re-took up embroidery last year so I'm offering it as a sample at a reduced price. It has been unused apart from to take a photograph and has been languishing in my 'finished' box of makes for far too long! It deserves to be used and would be perfect for a special afternoon tea in the garden.
Will fit a medium 4-6 cup teapot and measures approximately 24cm from top to bottom with the circumference around the bottom approximately 69cm.
Due to the embroidered detailing I would recommend that it is spot-cleaned only.
The tea cosy comes wrapped in tissue paper and makes a lovely gift. If you would like me to send it to someone on your behalf you can add a gift card at the checkout and I can include a hand-written message for you.
