I used to collect items to sell at local vintage fairs in York. As these are all postponed right now, I am looking through my hoard to make some pieces into pretty and practical gifts. This 1950’s napkin from Paris is just the ticket. Take a peek at the set, there are matching Le Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower lavender bags also in my shop right now.

Oooh La La. I like to think that this sweet vintage napkin, with its 1950’s feel and whimsical Notre Dame print, was a souvenir from a weekend in Paris. I have stitched it into little matching lavender bags, with dried Yorkshire lavender. Its the eco friendly way to help you sleep, scent your clothes and drive away nasty moths. Pop this French fancy in a drawer to make your clothes smell extra fresh. This would make a lovely housewarming gift, a present for a vintage fan, or for anyone needing a virtual hug right now.
The bag measures 12 cm by 10 cm with a little muslin bag inside of dried Yorkshire lavender from Terrington.
The back is made from a section of a white cotton vintage broderie anglaise tablecloth, with its pierced design allowing the scent to waft freely.
There is a hook so you can hang it up and dream of Paris in the Spring, or hook it over a clothes hanger. It is finished with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse if I can. Your bag will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
