I put this piece of wood away a number of years ago as I thought it was too difficult to turn at the time, but got it out again recently and I am glad I did, its a really nice piece that turned into a lovely item. The shape shows off the spalting really well. It would make a lovely decoration for the home on its own or with some dried flowers in.

Full description
Splated beech hollow form. 95 x 150mm high, finished in Danish oil. A really nice Spalted beech hollow form, it has a lovely curving shape which shows off the patterns in the wood and a beaded rim. The spalting is caused by natural processes in the wood and makes beautiful streaks and lines.
