Full description
This bird measures 28mm, beak to tail, 24mm wingtip to wingtip. it ismounted on a 20mm brooch bar, soldered to the copper base. The bar fastens with a simple catch..
I have laid in a coat of yellow enamel over a base layer of clear enamel built up on the copper base. Over the turquoise I have set rods of red-brown enamel and scatterings of white and pale grey enamel powder, through which I have drawn a steel tip while the shape was red hot, to create the swirled pattern on the bird.
