What drew me to enamelling, and keeps me drawn, is, first, the challenge of drawing out a design in molten glasss that will set as I work it, in its own time. And second, the delight I get from seeing the approximation of a pattern I envisaged at the beginning of the work and knowing the influence the material has had on the outcome.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This brooch measures 35mm by 27mm.
After building a base of sevral layers of clear enamel on the copper oval shape I have added a single layer of blue. After firing that I have added a scattering of red enamel and another of white enamel. I have then, when the piece was at red hot, in the kiln, drawn a steel point through the surface to draw out the red and white pattern you see. The copper base shines through the layers of decoration in tones of gold and brown.
Your brooch is unique. I can at best only attempt to replicate the pattern on it. It is soldered to a 25mm brooch bar that secures with a rotating catch.
Your brooch will be sent boxed, as shown, by Royal Mail tracked48.
