Toadstool fairy village tote bag. A fun tote bag in sturdy pale green fabric with a delightful appliqué design depicting a cluster of three toadstool fairy houses. The heads of the mushrooms are made from co-ordinating lilac and purple print fabrics, and the undersides are cream with small beige polka dots. The stems are cream with a ditsy beige leafy pattern. I've used golden-yellow fabric for the little arched, round and heart-shaped windows to give the impression of warm light inside the houses. I’ve added clusters of felt flowers with hand-embroidered detailing, little wooden flower-shaped buttons, and small hand-embroidered flowers. The purple window frame detailing is also hand-embroidered. The doors are finished with little white sequin doorknobs. The bag is lined with lilac fabric with small white polka dots.
This pretty tote bag would be perfect for a special occasion but is sturdy enough for every-day use. With its delightful toadstool houses and floral embellishments, it would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves mushrooms, fantasy and purple.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (36cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are approx. 24 inches (60cm) from end to end, and are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or carried as a handbag.
