A nice little piece of Hornbeam that I picked up at a country show a few years ago, I enjoyed turning one of my other bowls in Hornbeam, so did this one just for the joy of it! Its a small bowl and I wanted to aim for it to be as delicate in shape as possible and I think it came out that way. It has a nice curving shape and a very thin wall which makes it very light for the UK's hardest wood. Is grain is streaked through with lines and curves which adds interest.

Full description
Small Hornbeam bowl, 103 x 44mm high, finished in paste wax. A nice little Hornbeam bowl with a lovely curving shape that blends into a narrow foot. It has a nice clear grain streaked through with darker colours.
