LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.

I enjoy making lidded pots, because while they are fussy to make, they often get used regularly. This is a nice way to add something handmade into your home routine. I want my pots to be used every day, and a lot of people tell me they are (particularly those used for storage). I take care to make my pots look interesting and be functional with a well-fitting lid. They can be used in the kitchen for herbs or spices, in the bathroom for jewellery or pills or by the door for your keys..

Full description

A small ochre and red brown lidded jar with colour variations reflecting the thickness of the glaze on the lid top and in the stamped and wheel-made markings. The glaze is red brown where thin and ochre if thick. The handle is varnished bamboo.

This wheel thrown jar is perfect for spices, herbs, pills, keys or your small precious items.

This jar was thrown with a UK stoneware and, after biscuit firing and glazing the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.

- All of my work is one-of- a-kind and made by hand.

- As with all my pottery, the jar is food safe but it has a bamboo handle and should not be put in a dishwasher.

- The jar measures approximately 10cm tall and 9cm wide.

- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9352
