During my recent travels to Barcelona, Spain; I had the chance to visit Sagrada Familia (the temple that Gaudi envisaged for the city); the Park Guell - where Gaudi again created some amazing designs. I was inspired by the beautiful colours; shapes and the magic the mosaics created when touched by the light. I wanted re-create that theme and capture it in the form of jewellery; re-using the glass shards that were shaped by the sea. Each sea glass shard was hand picked by myself on the shores in Barcelona; hand painted and oven fired.
Gaudi used shards of tiles to crate some of his iconic mosaics; which now adorn some of the buildings in Barcelona; or can be seen in the Park.

Full description
This is a limited edition series of pendants inspired by the style of Gaudi as seen in Barcelona. The series comprises of 11 pieces made from tarnish resistant silver plated copper and 1 piece wrapped in Stirling silver.
Each pendant is made from a sea glass shard (piece of glass shaped by the sea).
The sea glass comes from the shores of Barcelona, Spain.
Each sea glass has been wrapped using tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire (this series of 7).
The sea glass was hand painted using glass paints and oven fired; which makes it wash resistant.
Each pendant was hand wrapped using the wire wrapping technique; each pendant taking between 3 and 4 hours to make.
Each pendant will come with a free 24" silver plated chain; ready to be worn and an organza pouch for easy storage.
