Full description
A penguin tote bag in a textured dusky pink lilac fabric with a cute appliqué penguin wearing a straw sunhat. The penguin is made from black fabric with a pattern of small white sprays of flowers, and white fabric with black flower motifs. Her feet and beak are made from golden-yellow velvet. Her straw sunhat is made from hessian and I’ve left a frayed edge around the brim. The hat has a floral band in white with a pattern of purple, pink and yellow flowers. I’ve also added a decorative pink felt flower with a golden yellow button in the centre. The bag is fully lined with the same pretty floral fabric as I used for the hat band.
The measurements of the tote bag are approx. 14" (36cm) H x 12.5" (32cm) L x 3" (8cm) W and the handles are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or hand-carried.
This versatile tote bag is perfect for use as a shopping bag but it could also be used as a handbag. The velvet and hessian textures of some of the appliqué fabrics make it wonderfully tactile. With its delightful penguin in her summery hat, it would make a lovely fun gift for anyone who loves penguins.
