Full description
A pretty tote bag in pale grey fabric with a delightful appliqué scene depicting a cup and saucer with steaming tea or coffee and a cupcake. The cup is made from a lovely strawberry print fabric in shades of salmon pink, green and blue on a pale blue background. The saucer and the inside of the cup are pale blue with white polka dots. The double-layered cupcake and cake case are made from three co-ordinating pale pink fabrics with white polka dots, white checks and salmon pink flowers. I've embellished the cupcake with a red wooden heart-shaped button as a cherry on top. The tea or coffee is made from beige and cream fabric with a tiny ditsy leaf pattern. I've added machine embroidered satin stitch in off-white thread to depict steam curling upwards into a heart shape. The bag is fully lined with pale blue fabric with white polka dots to match the saucer.
The measurements of the tote bag are approx. 14" (36cm) H x 12.5" (32cm) L x 3" (8cm) W and the handles are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or hand-carried.
This versatile tote bag is perfect for use as a shopping bag but pretty enough to be used as a handbag. With its delightful cuppa and cake scene, it would make a lovely gift for tea and coffee lovers.
