Here's a fabulous Best Mum Mug just for your wonderful Mum.

Made with love for your Mum.

All my white mugs are slightly different.

It has the words 'Best Mum' stamped into raised clay on the side of the mug. There's a lovely big red and orange flower added to this mug too.

I threw this mug on the potter's wheel using a white stoneware clay. I then turned the base and added the handle and decoration before bisque firing the mug. I glazed it using a lovely transparent glaze and again fired it, this time to 1240C stoneware making it strong and durable.

I sign my pieces with the initials REJM. My parents gave me a long name and then called me by my last!

A special Mug for a special Mum.

++++ I make my pieces in my studio/garage. As with all handmade items each one is special and unique. No two are the same. This one has a little green dot that has appeared near the handle on the inside and outside when the kiln did it's magic. The glaze has also come out matt on the base!

We all have our favourite mugs. I even have a favourite mug for coffee, another for tea and another for peppermint tea. Some friends like the one with a thin rim, or the heavy one, the plain handle or the wide base. People can be quite protective over their mugs too.

I wanted to make a range of mugs for everyone. All of us are different, all of us are special - so are my mugs.
