Shop Announcement:

Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).

In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to Europe, the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation.

Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Most items over £15 are posted via the 'signed for' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here:, my facebook page here: and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here:

You can subscribe to my newsletter to hear about new designs and offers and to be notified when my shop is fully stocked!

Reversible cowl or scarf hand knit in super soft pure merino wool

Reversible cowl or scarf hand knit in super soft pure merino wool
£65.00 1 Available
Love this

The cowl has been handknit to my own design using Kettle dyed pure merino wool in a semi variegated shade called 'Simply Taupe', which ranges from creams to richer soft browns and works beautifully with this textural ribbed stitch pattern. At 54" long, it is the perfect size to wrap twice around your neck and fit pretty closely, although it also looks lovely when worn full length too. The merino wool is very, very soft close to your neck and merino is very unlikely to cause irritation to anyone who usually has some issues with other sheeps wool. The width of the cowl is a generous 10".

Postage is for 'singed for' service or 'tracked' for international shipping. Please note that I do automatically refund postal cost overages for international items.

I love to wear a cowl rather than a scarf, just because it is so much more convenient - you put it on and it stays there! The one drawback with cowls can be that when you twist them to put them on, you may end up with the 'wrong' non-pretty side facing out. The perfect way to get around this is to use a completely reversible stitch pattern, which this cowl has - it looks exactly the same and pretty on both sides!
