Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation If a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

When you need a big warm hug, this caplet or poncho will give you one! Looks great worn over crew or polo neck top or jumper, or maybe a nice white shirt. The piece is a supersized longer version of my own original design for a short shoulder cosy, which you can also find in my shop.

I call this hand knit capelet or poncho 'The Supersized Hug' and it really does give you a nice warm hug! I've used Rowan's Kidsilk Haze Trio, which comprises three strands of a silk and mohair blend yarn, spun together to make a beautiful soft and lightweight yarn that gives you all of the warmth of a much heavier yarn.
The colour of this piece is 'Snowberry', a mix of natural cream and beige. I've created shaping around the shoulders so that it sits happily over your arms but still gives you room to move them. The form that the cape if modelled on here has a 38 inch (96.5cm bust) - to give you some idea of fit - this cape would be perfect for a UK size 12 dress size.
Measurements:
Depth from neck to bottom edge measured through the centre is 26.5 inches or 67cm
Length from top of shoulder to bottom edge is 18.5 inches or 47cm
Circumference around the neck is 24 inches 62cm
Circumference around the bottom hem is 52 inches 130cm
