Full description

This cute little pendant features a drop of fordite bezel set in sterling silver. The pendant has an open back so can be reversed as the colour palette and patterns are different on the two sides. The front is predominately red with some sparkly cherry red, white and sparkly silver whilst the back is is a darker red with white, black and grey. The fordite measures 23mm by 12mm excluding the generous bail, it comes with an 18inch sterling silver chain but the bail is big enough to take a leather or rubber thong (please drop me a message if you would like me to sort this out for you). Comes gift boxed.

Not heard of fordite before? Its the name given to overspray paint build up from car factories, paint would fall on the rails the car panels would be placed on slowly building up getting baked hard in between each coat to give a residue that can be cut and polished revealing the colours within. I believe this particular material came from Ford's Dearborn factory (so probably F-150 truck colours but I haven't managed to match it to a specific year) and I cut and polished it myself. Love the idea of fordite but want something else making? Drop me a message I have a bit of a stash so can probably fulfill your request.
