This design came about because I could not find anything other than a tin to hold my quilting clips in. So the cushion was born, created from bits and pieces in my craft room stash, some beads, half a mini charm pack, felt from doll making and buttons from my collection. I use one of these cushions all the time now and wonder how I ever got on without it.

Full description
This pretty and very practical piece of sewing kit will keep all those pesky quilting clips, pins and a needle in one place. This item is completely hand stitched and the pillow or cushion is made from a grey wool felt, filled with polyester toy stuffing and some polypropylene granules to give weight and stop it moving around your table. The flower has 20 individually created petals in a cotton fabric in shades of navy, turquoise, pink, salmon and green and topped with a self covered button. Each petal will hold a quilting clip.
Three magnetic, black beads are sewn on one corner to hold a needle and the rest of the cushion can be used as a pin cushion. If placed at an angle, they will not pierce the bottom of the cushion and mark your surface.
The item is sewn together with a navy embroidery thread in a blanket stitch and each corner has been decorated with a button in shades of turquoise and pearl to compliment the colours in the flower.
A perfect gift for the busy sewer who has everything and this is a one off piece, as I use different fabrics and buttons for every cushion.
