I'm selling off some of my collection of unusual beads to make some space in my workshop, so if you love beads, please take a look

I like to bring together old and new beads. Although the old beads were made in Europe, they have travelled to Africa and back and sit happily with the new Ghanaian beads. The softer colours of the African beads bring out the sublte mix of colours in the old trade beads.

Full description

Five unusual and rare antique millefiori trade beads, made in Italy and sent out to Africa around 1880 - 1920 are the highlights of this unique and interesting necklace.

Beads: These beads are collectors items and are increasingly difficult to find, especially in such excellent condition. They have been threaded along with some vintage blue African glass beads and some modern beads from the Krobo region of Ghana. These beads are made in small village compounds, not in factories. The glass is recycled from old bottles.

Photographs: In the first photo, it might look as though there is a crack in the bead. Don't worry, this is just a trick of the light where there is a darker blue in the pattern. You can see it more clearly in picture 3.

Style: Suitable for men or women.

Presentation: Your necklace will be sent in a presentation bag inside a mailing box.

Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.

Postage: I can usually post within 24 hours..

Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.
