In these difficult times, I continue to work from home. I am only selling items which can be posted via the Post Box which is just outside my gate. I have a stock of stamps and packaging materials and, therefore, can stay open for business without imposing extra risk on other individuals. As usual, vintage linens and fabrics, re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories, may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
A pretty, felted and embroidered snowy winter design decorates this pincushion.
A selection of hand-dyed fibres have been felted to a background of eco felt (commercially produced from recycled plastic bottles) using an embellisher machine to produce a background for the snow scene. Felted pillows of snow have been arranged in drifts and joined by further, hand-stitched wool snowballs. A snowy tree and two tiny robins, huddled on a snowy fence, have been stitched in cotton threads. The design is enhanced, and stabilised, by hand stitching in fine cottons.
The back of the pincushion is grey eco felt. The pincushion is firmly stuffed with polyester filling.
