A Rob Roy style leather sporran pouch, traditionally worn with a kilt, scottish highland dress.

The tribal style wolf's head and patterns are hand tooled into the leather flap, belt loop and rear panel.

The flap, belt loop and rear of the sporran is made from vegetable tanned leather and dyed a rich dark brown.

The pouch is made from goatskin and is dyed to match.

All stitched by hand.

The toggle closure is made from a piece of Buffalo horn, the tassels, also made from leather, are topped with decorative brass coloured beads.

The sporran will fit onto a belt measuring up to 2.5 inch (approx. 65mm) wide.

In most Native cultures, a Wolf is associated with courage, strength, loyalty, and success at hunting.

As a kilt was traditionally manufactured without pockets for carrying such things as car keys or wallet, it is still worn with a type of pouch called a sporran, which is just the Gaelic word for pouch or purse. Sporrans are usually made from either brown or black leather.

The older style bag sporrans (often called "Rob Roy" sporrans) are also frequently seen as they tend to be a bit roomier than some of the more modern varieties.
