The sunflower was one of the first flower paintings that I did. The seed heads inparticular are amazing so I made sure to zoom in to try to capture as much detail as possible. Painting on block canvases is also a favourite of mine as it gives a more contempory feel to the painting and you don't have the extra expense of a frame.

Full description
This is an original Sunflower Oil Painting on a Block Canvas. I love the majestic sunflower, particularly the seed head, so when doing this painting I made sure to get up close and personal and try to capture this stunning detail. But I also wanted to make sure that the vibrant petals where not forgotten and this is what brings this painting to life. The background is peppered with a couple more sunflowers along with shades of green to enhance the vibrant yellow petals.
The painting is taken right around the edges so it is ready to hang, no need for a frame if oyu don't want one. This gives it a modern contemporary feel.
It measure 20" x 16" x .75" (508mm x 406mm x 19mm) and will be wrapped in recycled bubble wrap and cardboard for sage posting.
