Full description
This is a large statement piece! I have hand carved this canada goose from 3cm jelutong (wood) so it is a profile without great depth. The head is nicely shaped with hand tinted glass eyes. The bird has been painted with artists acrylics and the beak highlighted with gloss enamel giving definition to the black head. The goose is standing on a lovely sycamore block and everything has been waxed giving it a soft shine. It is 43cm tall, 47cm long and the base is 12cm by 17cm approx.
Not everyone is going to have space for this bird but if you do I think it will look brilliant!
For ease of packing, I will leave the base separate for this large bird. The dowel leg pushes tightly into the base or you can add a drop of wood glue to fix.
